Dear Portage Path Family, 

It has been my true privilege to serve as principal of Portage Path CLC.  For the past six years, we have grown immensely, built deep relationships, and learned alongside each other as we worked to become a successful Authorized PYP IB School. Together, we have created a culture of growth, caring, and collaboration that is talked about throughout APS. 

After much thought, personal reflection, and professional guidance, I have accepted a position with the Department of Interior. It is a position that aligns deeply with what I believe and a great forward step in a career that is built on a love for learning and seeing kids grow. Friday, September 23, will be a sad day, but I leave knowing that our students are well cared for by a fantastic staff who will continue to meet high expectations. 

I am very pleased to announce that Dan Casalinuovo has accepted the role as principal of Portage Path. He will begin on Monday, September 19. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Dan for several years at APS and I have full confidence that he will continue the work of our shared mission and vision. I have been humbled by how Portage Path CLC has embraced me as a leader, and I am positive that Mr. Casalinuovo will have the same wonderful experience.

As I move forward with this new opportunity, the spirit of Portage Path will remain with me.
