Keith Dambrot considers the I Promise School one of LeBron James’ greatest accomplishments and said he has told the four-time NBA MVP and three-time league champion as such.
That’s why Dambrot brought his Duquesne basketball team back to Akron for a Saturday afternoon game against Radford University at Ellet High School. It marked the second consecutive year the Dukes have played in Dambrot’s home town, where he coached James to state titles at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School as a freshman and sophomore, and Dambrot said visiting James’ school continues to be the primary motivation.
