Parents/Guardians: Oct. 22, 2019

I have been reflecting on all that has happened since we became an IB Candidate School in the spring of 2018. Just a few points to celebrate:

• All of us striving to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective.

• Becoming more Internationally Minded - accepting and respecting other cultures.

• Learning the French language and culture.

• Understanding the world and our ability to take mindful, appropriate student-initiated action.

• Taking more responsibility for learning and becoming more independent.

• More student centered inquiry-based learning with a focus on HOW students learn as well as WHAT they learn.

• We created a mission statement (above) and assessment policy with input from staff and parents. Thank you!

• What is your child learning in French class?

• Receive a mini language lesson with Mademoiselle Zhang

• What is happening in the classrooms? 

AND We need your input for our school language policy - your voice is needed.
